Sunshine G1 gondolas

I have a few of the Sunshine Models N&W G1 and Virginian G5 gondolas.  Does anyone think the decals for the 50 ton hopper in the Commissary would be appropriate for the gondolas?  The letters are 17" and 24".  I thought I would make one or two of each.
Any suggestions for success from someone who has built them?
