611 Derailment

Hi Roger. My expertise on this topic is limited to various commentary on the internet; some of which sounds well founded. Those commentators stated that the reduced speed for steam operations was a direct outcome of the incident. It also led to the retirement of some of the older excursion cars and cars without tight lock couplers.

Roger,
    There was at least one early video made of 611 running around 70 mph after the first restoration. I don't remember which one it was and it was maybe up on the NKP trackage or somewhere thereabouts.
