Yes, long gone, Bill. The freight house was torn down in the seventies, and out of railroad use for longer than that.

Attached is a 1959 aerial to provide a sense of what was there (north is up). I bought a right of way map from the N&WHS Archives that made me aware the points were mid-span (closer to the north end) - it was only then that I noticed it on this image. I’ve attached a snip of the ROW map as well. 

Not a mountainous area, but space constraints still lead to practical solutions.

Yes.  Great reminder for a “man bridge” for attendant to access the switch.  Will have to work on that.  

Real challenge was leaving sufficient space on the turning side for 80’ passenger cars to make the swing without hitting the rear on the opposite side or the overhang on the inside rubbing on the middle of the bridge.
