N&W Bridges -- Guidance Sought for a Unique N&W Prototype

Thanks Rudy.  Whether or not used by the N&W, at least my nutty bridge is not totally alien to the real world.  

As Jim King observed, "when space limitations required “creative solutions”, putting points on a bridge was common.”  Jim suspected that "the tight quarters in N&W’s hollers often resulted in cramming bridges, switches, wyes, etc. into places that drove the engineering departments nuts.”   My problem drove me nuts, but the solution worked.  

By the way, I grew up at 28 Village Rd. and 31 Lincoln Ave. in Pompton Plains.  My Dad founded the First Aid Squad and was its President for many years.  My wife’s Dad, Don Kanouse, was Mayor.  She grew up on Osborne Terrace.  We were married in the Dutch Reformed Church.
