Peak ends for Accurail H5 hopper?

Thanks Carl - I wasn’t aware of these details. The slope sheet support looks especially useful. I may pick up a set to see if the ends work better than my solution. I designed mine with a thin “shoehorn” on the interior side to provide a more rugged joint; the exterior side to be similarly braced by new (and more accurate) end braces.

I’ll be interested to see if a similarly rugged attachment with the Westerfield parts. Ends are subject to potential rough handling. I’m sure the parts are very nice.

Matt, that was my thinking too - the addition of peak ends would be an easy mod that would go along way towards giving them a more N&W look.

I’m genuinely surprised to have problems finding something like you’re working on. Thanks for sharing and keep us updated!
