Norris:

The Price of the UTI cars are nowhere near the Quality of the poor Key (
didn't even have the silver around the windows or "glass") and even worse
Sunset offerings (so poor that they did not resemble N&W cars). You get
what you pay for.

The OMI cars were much improved over the Key and Sunset offerings at listed
over $600 + a car and that was many years ago.

By the way the brass today has no problem in the sales department because of
the highly detailed models.

Just to think that much money ($841.00) would have bought both a complete 5
car set of a painted Sunset and a painted Key Powhatan Arrow set not that
many years ago. You may have to have bargained a little on their retail
prices. I'm sure that these new releases are more detailed but at $841.00
per car they should be. This price is not going to attract many new N&W
modelers! These new releases are priced more for collectors than operators!

Union Terminal Imports announced that they will be setting final production
quantities on April 19 for their Pullman 10-6 Sleeping car project in HO
scale. UTI will import seven Norfolk and Western Class S-2 "County Cars" in
three paint schemes: Buchanan County, McDowell County and Sussex County in
both Tuscan Red and Pevler Blue and the Sussex County in Illinois Central
colors when it was leased to that road. Anyone still considering ordering
these offerings should do so now since reservations received after April 19
will be placed on the back-up list.
