Redbird

[NW Modeling List]

While a number of us were blind sided by the Athearn announcement and delivery of the redbirds, I hope the quick sell out of the redbirds will show Athearn that there is a N&W market out there.  Over the years a number of attempts have been made to interest Athearn in producing N&W early diesels and we finally have a very good model of the passenger GP9s. Now we need models of the black and gold lettered freight GP9s.  Harold Davenport

Got totally blindsided by this topic. Athearn apparently announced it in February, but nothing here (or in TAF) until the 30th of June. Nothing in MR. Was lucky enough to order the last red one at Train World, a 521 I'll renumber.
