I do N&W. I used to be SIGNSGALORE.

Tell me what you want.

Guys,

I have tried unsuccessfully for the past two years to acquire Tom English's work.

I am currently finishing up art on our newest Norfolk Southern hopper set for HP28R-HP30R including the Pier 6 hopper. This weekend I'm releasing another set for Norfolk Southern's H65 and H69 hoppers. These are printed and I just need to finish the instruction sheet.

When I finish these two projects in the next week or so I will start on the N&W hopper cars.

Modelers that have used our decals know how much attention and detail we put into our artwork to make them absolutely accurate. We don't just use a font and "get it close". All of our newer sets come with complete data and instructions.

Any good photos, class info, data and car number info would be appreciated. We have some of what we need but every little bit helps.

Keep an eye on the list for updates.

Sincerely,

Richard D. Shell

Tom English was the provider of the decals in question and he passed a way a couple of years ago. His wife had the art work but she passed away about 2 weeks ago and I don't know what has happened to the art work. Alan Cox

Ouch -- you may be right. I don't retain a current copy of the Commissary, and was working from memory. If so, it's a sad loss.

If the situation is correct, a possible option would be for N&WHS and a surviving family member to work with a decal seller such as Bill Mosteller of Great Decals to reinstitute the sets. Several of Bill's current sets have originated from designers no longer intrested in being in the decal business.

Bob,

I was told that the NWHS has long been out of the hopper decals and didn’t think they would be able to get more since the guy that made them had died a few years ago.

Was I misinformed?
