I have a Society reprint, done by TLC Publishing, of the passenger car
pan book which is a first approximation of these plans of rebuilds.
While not to the level of detail which Jim is discussing it gives the
floor plan and general appearance.

I’ll put that on my “to do” list. BTW, I
failed to mention that there eventually was a third diner to XO
conversion –
the 400(2nd), which later lost its number to an ex-Wabash car and wound
up being sold to a private owner who named it “Cannonball”. While
there were certain similarities to the 101 and 102, the 400 was a quite
different car. I probably should work up some plans for it too. Who
knows? One
of them may end up being my contest entry next year.

Jim:

I am looking
plans for both cars.  A request was sent to Harold, but has yet to
respond.

Any help will be
great!

Thanks, Stephen

Actually 2 diners were rebuilt into XO business cars (101 &
102) Not aware of any plans available anywhere (although company
diagrams may
be of help) but they had at least 2 incarnations, eventually with
welded sides
and sealed windows. Which version do you want plans for? I may be able
to work
something up.     Jim Nichols

 Division
Point update! The BEj baggage car is going to have the “correct
red” ( mistake made at the painters on the M1 RPO).

Also the BEj car
is going to be done in the later blue scheme.  I understand only 10 blue
cars may be produced so order early.

Who do I contact
about getting plans for the diner car that was built into the XO
business
car? Stephen Rineair
