Precision Craft Y6b and Digitrax problem

I have a Precision Craft Y6b.  Came w/out decoder.  I installed a  
Digitrax DH163.  All seems OK except...no lights.  What did I miss?
I also have a Bachmann Spectrum J.  I installed a Soundtraxx decoder,  
speaker etc.  THAT works fine too...except for the lights.
Both engines use LED's and I wonder if THAT is the problem.
