Painting G gauge NW models

Hello all:
   
  Does anyone on the list have any modeling experience in G gauge?  I recently expanded my modeling horizons by purchasing an Aristocraft high hood SD45, and I want to paint and letter it for NW.  I've painted several HO scale models, but I don't think Floquil or Scalecoat II would be best for a motor that I intend to run outside.  Krylon was the first thing that came to mind, but I'm wondering if there is anything better.  Can anyone suggest a brand of paint that would be good for outdoor models?
