UK "Pen Pals" Head Lights

I, for one, don't have any problem with this discussion about British rail 
practices. Was always curious as to how the British and other European railways 
switched cars as the coupling sysytems I've seen pictured aren't anything like 
American practices and equipment. Got to hand it to the designer of the 
Janney couplers as it is a very practical system.
