Dear Russ,

I would love to see an N&W battleship gondola. My understanding is
that they were used in unit trains, all battleship gondolas, from the
mines to Lamberts Point in Norfolk, VA. If someone would produce an
N scale model, you would have people who would want enough to make a
coal train with a Y3 Mallet leading the way. An N scale train with
an engine and tender, 20 battleship gondolas and a CF caboose would
be very impressive. From what I see, 20 hoppers or gondolas in an N
scale train looks pretty realistic.

But 20 gondolas means 20 road numbers. We need a limited number of
gondolas (say five or six) with screen-painted or laser printed data
and road numbers, and then additional gondolas with all the road date
and the big N&W, but with a separate set of decals with more road
numbers for those who wanted a big train. [As I wrote, I think that
20 gondolas would make a nice train, so go for a set of just 30 road
numbers on the decal sheet.]

Of course, in addition to the battleship gondolas, N&W Class GK, we
also need a good caboose, CF, CG, CH and/or C2.
