We got the BLI J's in my shop on Tuesday. Overall they look good. The
stripe has a slight purple hue to it. Excursion 611's have a glossy finish
and a twin seal beam style headlight.
I'm not sure that they got the whistle just right. It might just be the
distortion from the high volume setting BLI ships all there stuff out with.
It might sound better once the volume is turned down.
The tender has a KD coupler, but the pilot has a McHenry/Bachmann with a
metal knuckle spring. Everyone we received had the front knuckle pushed
back beyond the open position. This can be corrected by grabbing the trip
pin and pulling it towards the closed position. The knuckle should then
snap into place. The parts bag has a replacement closed pilot piece with a
dummy coupler.
