N&W 1906-1907 Terminal Improvements: RRG Article

Attached is a PDF compilation of all pages from a four-part article
run in the March, April and May, 1907,  issues of Railroad Gazette
(vol. 42.)

These articles discuss the major terminal expansions begun in 1906 at
Portsmouth, Williamson, Bluefield, Roanoke and South Norfolk, and
other revisions of line and grade, and branch line extensions.

The article contains drawings of track arrangements at the four
terminals being expanded.  The drawings of tracks at Roanoke are
accompanied by an invaluable resume of the operating plan, which
answered something I had never understood, viz.  the route by which
inbound road engines were turned in to the 12th Street Round House.
