John, list ...
We discussed B&O grain doors four years ago, we can again. No problemo.
Thread quoted below.
B&O drawing cited, not attached.

I would assume you could find the Lofton articles on this site.
These citations should keep you busy.

Hi Tom,
There was a B&O standard grain door, two drawings and several articles.
Prototype citations:
"Grain Doors", Baltimore and Ohio Magazine, April 1928, v. 16, pp. 36-37, 39
Herbert Corkran, "Cutting Down Grain Door Costs' Railway Age, June 1, 1928. v. 84, pp. 1283-84
Articles are not identical. Both feature a drawing showing an ARA standard grain door, also labeled as B&O. Was this really a B&O grain door or a handy illustration attributed to B&O? Articles are mainly about their cost, saving money, reclaiming them from the consignees, management-employee cooperation, conscientious employees .....
Breifly mentioned is a house in Bermuda constructed mainly of B&O grain doors, so marked.
Modeling citations:
B&OHS Archives has a grain door assembly drawing T-40158, 3-31-1922, revision G, 11-5-56.

B&Oers...............
Back in the days when grain was shipped in boxcars the cars were fitted with wooden "grain doors". These were nailed across the car door so that the entire car could be filled with grain.
Does anybody know whether the B&O had a standard drawing for wooden grain doors?
Of particular interest would be lettering on the grain doors that would enable their return to the B&O after the car was emptied.
My understanding is that there was an extensive article on this subject in the September 1992 issue of Railmodel Journal by Dan Holbrook.
I'm looking for detailed drawings or photos, and/or a copy of that article.
Tom
