Does anyone know what color caboose 518676 (c31p) was when it went into service? We are restoring it and everything points to red. Some people say blue but I can,t find any info to confirm that. I can find pictures from 1973 of it being red. If it started blue can you tell me the date it painted red.

I looked at your web site.  The cab you are discussing is shown in a
picture.on your web site.  The proper white lettering and numbering along
with the white band around the top of the copola indicating it was in pool
service.
