On second thought, I suggest that the photo behind Mr. Cochran's lovely postcard image may have been taken from the east end of Shawsville Tunnel, looking eastwardly.

That would account for what appears to be a disturbance in the vegetation where a former track was located.  That is the original right-of-way around the bluff, before Shawsville Tunnel was drilled !  (If I recall correctly some newspaper stories from the 1980s, Shawsville Tunnel was open-cut, but while the open-cutting work was underway the main tracks were re-laid on the original alignment, scurting around the bluff.)

My guess on the mountain in the background remains Fort Lewis Mountain.
