Thanks Ray:  I've not read that account of the 800's, how do the specifications compare to the N&Ws various Y class models during the same time frame?

I was not aware of this large locomotive used by the Virginian to move coal from Elmore across Clark’s Gap from 1919 until the 1940’s and though some would be interested.
