I knew Carl and he will be missed.  He was also an important part of the early Renewal of the N&W Steam Program.

Some sad news to pass along today.

Long time member and former NS Steam Department head Carl Jensen passed away this morning. Carl had been ill for some time.

The visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 at Oakey’s North Chapel in Roanoke, and the funeral on Monday. 

Carl was quite an influence on NRHS national and Roanoke Chapter in particular, but he was also a strong supporter of N&WHS.

He will be missed.
