If you look closely at the car on the side you can see the lettering matches the car in my photo.  These were specialized cars typically used for auto parts that needed the raised roof.

I think it may be a Pennsylvania X31f box car.  The end roof panel appears to be lower than the rest.

Accident happened on Monday November 1, 1943 according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. I sent Ken a copy of the newspaper article if he wants to relay more details.

This is the second time I’ve seen this wreck photo, with a request for details, but have nothing on file about it.
 
It is Y6 No. 2160 at Koehler, Va, depot, also might be considered Fieldale, but that is all we know.
 
Anybody got more information?
