Thanks Jim B., I was wondering if it might be a relic/MOW acquired from NKP or WAB.

Jim,

I looked through my research materials on wooden N&W passenger cars. I've attached a scan of N&W 3, which was built in February 1881 by Bowers, Dure & Company, Wilmington, Delaware. My notes indicate this car was originally acquired from predecessor AM&O; it was possibly renumbered N&W 6 to make way for the second car to be numbered 3, which in my notes is reflected as 3:2.

3:2 is listed as second hand (SH) equipment in the ICC Valuation Report with a built date of 1901; it is possibly acquired from Cincinnati, Portsmouth & Virginia; however, the other equipment acquired with the purchase of CP&V is identified as such in the ICC report.

So it is possible the image on eBay is 3:2. I don't have any further information or drawings of these early wood cars.
