FD flatcars in WWII

John Snidow's column in the January/February 1991 Arrow mentions that
the FD class flat cars were equipped with bulkheads for pulpwood
service by 1944. Was the entire class given this modification? I'm
looking for another flatcar for my World War II train, and thought an
FD would be a nice addition. I already have an FE class flat in the
train.
