No Climbing The Pole forTelphone

They had a long enough pole ( it may have been an extension type) with a
cross piece on the top which had the correct width to lie across the 2 bare
wires.  This established  the phone connection.  No need to do any type of
ring.  The dispatcher had a speaker that was on above the CTC machines.
