Automatic switchers

There were only the two - the 1100 and 1112.
They had  automatic stoker and draft controls  using fans in the smokeboxes
and automatic  water level controls but no steam locomotive engineer was
ever going to be comforable relying on anything automatic to take care of
the water level in a boiler,
It didn't take long for the 0-8-0s to put  the automatic  switcher idea
away  but the 1100 and 1112 proved that it could be done.
