It's clear to me, and even more so after these recent discussions, that our
mission is to preserve _all_ of the history of the N&W and its
predecessors. And that includes telling the stories of, and by, the workers
and families along the line. To accomplish this, we shouldn't stop trying
to do this work because we're limited by a page count. Instead, we could
look for other channels for capturing these stories.
Now, this next idea is not going to go over well with most people reading
this, but if this outdated mailing list format was converted to a more
robust - and accessible - Facebook group, we could capture these stories
and reminisce until the cows came home. At a zero cost basis....
How's that for stirring the pot? Like I said, I don't expect to get a
rousing ovation for this idea, but it's something to consider.
