As recall, the Norfolk & Western Magazine had a section known as "The Inumeral (sp.) Cavavan".   It listed deaths of current and retired employees.  So if you were stationed at, say Roanoke, but your seniority was on Norfolk Terminal, it was possible to find if one of your associates had passed away.  It would not be found in The Roanoke Times,  That way you could send condolences to the family.  Harry Bundy
