C1 caboose

Yesterday, some friends and I stumbled upon this old wooden cab in Petersburg, Virginia. I'm pretty sure its N&W class C-1 518435, built in 1943 by the N&W Portsmouth Shops. Bob Bowers and Jim Brewer's caboose book lists it as being sold to a private owner in Petersburg in July, 1956. Its a pretty fascinating survivor in my opinion, did anyone else know its there? Its in poor condition, but would be a wonderful museum piece if restored and preserved. -Ed Burnett, Lynchburg
