Current Situation on Tidewater Coal ?

My anecdotal observation from living near the former Virginian line near Ellett in Montgomery County is there are currently 4-5 coal trains daily, compared with 2-3 coal trains daily a year or so ago.

I can't speak to loads en route to Lamberts Point because they move via the Altavista District, but hopper trains pass my property in Greater Metropolitan Bonsack.  The hopper trains have increased to about four per day (and might include some off the Durham District) and on Friday afternoon there was a westbound with about 400 mtys.  H.Bundy
