Thanks all, I appreciate your memories/info.I unearthed today some photos in my stash of Nos. 9 and 10 and there was indeed an RPO tucked in among the sundry head-end equipment in all the shots. Still hunting for the shot Mr. Bundy sent me of this J-powered local run likely 30 years ago now! 
And thanks for clarifying that the Southern locals in/out of Bristol had RPO’s as well.
