We were exceedingly fortunate that Louis continued to publish his RAILS
REMEMBEREED after his four books were out. Of all the material
he published, it's a good bet that information was dwarfed by what he still
had between his ears.
It was my very great privilege to have been able to call him friend. Louis
on the railroad was a straight arrow.
I hadn't seen him since the last Roanoke convention when I was able to
spend some time with him.
His wife is a great lady.
I miss him.
