One man crew "misnomer"

I have not fully read it but lets face it.  If a person in Kansas sit at a computer and fly a drone in the middle East and kill a terrorist, no man trains are really not that far off..   They can have one engineer monitor two or three trains from an office.  Trains run by them self's unless there is a problem than engineer can take over remotely.  Same with  a conductor.  He is in the office.  If something happens he can drive out to the scene.  That way you can get rid of more people and increase profits.  Maybe drive away some more business and increase profits more.   Now what the Government should do is increase fines.  If a train stops and blocks a crossing, railroad has 30 minutes to get people there and clear the crossing (s).  After 30 minutes, fine is $1000 per crossing.  After another 30 minutes fine is $2000, per crossing.  Every 30 minute delay the fine doubles.  That is the only way to get their attention, fine the hell out of them.   Union should insist that each conductor has their own truck.  Truck will be renewed every two years.So we will see what develops.  Eventually the railroads will get to the absolute lowest operation ratio they can go and Wall St will  move on to another industry to wreck.   CSX has seen the future and they purchased a trucking company..  I think after this KCS-CP or KCS-CN merger and we have another rescission I look for CSX and NS to disappear with UP, BNSF, CP and CN to get parts of CSXT and NS. Kenneth Borg
