My grandfather Thomas Hugh Tanner was an engineer for the N&W out of Hagerstown for a while how long I don’t know! My father was the oldest of 12 and he was born in Hagerstown because my grandfather was stationed evidently For a crews out of Hagerstown how long i don’t know but I do know my father was born in 1901! My grandfather was transferred to Roanoke and that’s where the rest of the 11 were born and raised ! Merry Christmas
