I’m really looking forward to reading an update on the car in TAF . Also Ken back to the Roanoke Belt line ,Did not know it was as old as it is !! Somewhere maybe on one of Aubrey Wylie‘s calendars , I saw a picture of an S1 or S1A on the beltline coming just under the Wasena bridge ? Does anybody have any knowledge of that picture or am I dreaming? Thanks for all the knowledge and input. Ken(kid on a Hill Run ) Tanner

Take care,
Ken Tanner

> Car was cut in half to move it there. When the hotel closed down, and was being prepared to be torn down, some of the Roanoke Chapter folks began to talk with the contractor taking the place down. Initially, he was planning to sell the car, or move it to a camp. He was convinced it was worth a lot of money. But it became a lot harder and more expensive to move.

Chapter members did a huge amount of work to prep the car for movement, now the mission for them is to find a suitable under frame and trucks at an acceptable price (read donation) to place it back on the track.
