Alex, Thought so. Thx for the confirmation on the direction and the 1925 electrification date. When was this small shop closed? Did it cease to be a dispatch terminal at the same time? I’ll have to pick up a copy of Bluestone next time I’m at the archives. John Garner

Upstream, back toward Bramwell.

Alex, Thx for the extra info. Pardon my laziness. Is the photographer looking up or downstream on the Bluestone? John Garner

The picture was probably taken in November or December 1927 and was in a set of pictures used in an article on Clift Yard in the January 1928 Norfolk and Western Magazine.

Based on information I have seen it appears that the picture was made circa 1928.

Wow. What a great picture!

Is it possible to purchase a high resolution print?

What year do we think this is?

Are those Ms or W class engines in the foreground?

What series coal hoppers are we seeing in the foreground?

I’ve always wanted to build a model railroad that represents this era.

Thanks in advance.
