Assistance seeking Trains magazine article J cab ride

If this was a photo of the Tennesseean then it was before my time.  I don’t recall such an article in TRAINS but you have to allow for my mental infirmities.  I rode the Tennessean’s engine a couple of times, but the engines were Southern diseasels.  The photos I did make were on Alleghany Mountain westbound.  That was a long, long time ago.

Ed, Thank you for your response.  The only other thing I seem to recall is there were at least two photos. I believe the locomotive the person was riding in was pulling the Tennessean as I recall the camera was aimed backwards and showed stainless steel cars with a Y6b passing it. The second photo was aimed forward out of the cab and showed a meet with another J approaching from the opposite direction.

  This was probably an account by Dressler of a cab ride he had when he worked on the Scioto Division.  It wasn’t in TRAINS.  It was probably in the ARROW.

  My own cab ride on 611 was in 1959.  I don’t think I ever wrote it up for a magazine.  Since it was night, there were no photographs.  Dressler’s ride was in daylight.

  I am seeking assistance looking for a Trains magazine article from the 80s or 90s. I believe the article was by Ed King, but it could have been by Thomas Dressler. There was a photo taken from the cab of a J and the article detailed his ride in the cab as a child. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
