Jeff:Volume 15, No.3, the May-June, 1999 issue of The Arrowhas a list of N&W investigations conducted from 02/09/1912 until08/25, 1970. The article was written by Bob Harvey and shows engine numbers, deaths and injuries, and cause for each incident.I did not find a listing for Jessie Run at Rarden.? Will check reports of the Locomotive Inspection Bureau for any listing for Rarden.Don't believe the archives has the Locomotive InspectionBureau's accident reports.????????????????? Harry Bundy

Larry:ICC's Locomotive Inspection unit investigated boilerexplosions AND other injuries or deaths caused bymechanical failure.? The Locomotive Inspection Bureaudid issue reports, but they did not have the distributionthat the Safety reports had and consequently they arehard to come by.? Bob Harvey? also took his time todevelop a listing of N&W mechanical incidents and luckily, I have a copy.? If you're looking for a specific incident,let me know.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Harry Bundy?
