Matawan Massacre

Hello All,
Some years ago we attended a N&W convention visit to Matewan and saw a
reenactment  of the massacre carried out by the locals on the depot, which
had recently been reconstructed on the other side of the tracks.  The
mayor, who was involved,  was not shot.  After this we wandered around the
town finding the bullet holes that are still in buildings from the
shootout.
