Arrow Cover - Front, Back & in between

Ken,
     Just to be clear, I didn't say that they were painted black, only 
that they appear black. I do not see anything in the cover photo that 
suggests that the headlight and number boards are showing anything 
shiny. Compare them to the handrail directly below them and to the side.
     Again, this is not the first time or only engine that I have 
noticed this occurring. Corrosion would seem to be the culprit, but, I 
don't want to assume that is the case. I was wondering if anyone else 
may have some insight on this?
