If you're taking State Route #168 to the Outer Banks, be sureyou keep an eye out for the grade crossing several miles southof Moyock, NC.  It was here in the 1920s that my grandfather,his motor car and Norfolk Southern  Train No. 1 occupied the main track simultaneously for a few brief moments.
