Time change

They don’t. Typically, railroad timezone boundaries don’t match exactly to the civil boundaries so that an entire division or sub-division is in the same time zone. Crews set their watches to the local standard time at the start of shift and that should be it for their entire duty period. The only time a crew would need to worry about changing time enroute would be at the March and November change to/from DST.
