August 1923 trip

     Some other photos that I found were taken by my father on a trip up 
the valley in August of 1923. Other than the obvious exception, all have 
Buchanan written on the back. Maybe someone with access to a 1923 
timetable can identify what train he was on.

This photo appears to be taken in the Fringer or Spec area south of Lithia.

This photo is just around the bend from what is now the Rt.11 bridge, 
north of town looking over at the C&O main line.

This is a photo of the interesting rock formation over on the C&O side 
of the James River near where Rt.43 passes under the N&W.
