To all railroad pre-digital photographers that are alive and shooting film of some type. This email may be of interest to you. Feel free to pass it on to your other cavemen and cavewomen friends, You may also explain to your digital photo friends what a “darkroom” is used for! I’m seeing holiday ads on TV for turntables for grand parents (our generation) to play their vinyl on (if we can remember where we put them”). Now if Apple can just figure out how to build their phones to shoot slides! History does indeed repeat itself.
Happy Holidays!
Norris
P.S. If Santa brings you a new turntable (record player) then you can dust off that stack of O. Winston Link “Vinyl” and listen to those awesome N&W Steam trains! Complete with the extra pops and static courtesy of “Vinyl”. Oh, the sounds of the good old days.

📷 The Darkroom's New Film Index
Hello Norris,
We’ve put together a useful guide of film stocks that are still widely available for purchase. This guide highlights key characteristics of each film type along with ratings, reviews and sample photos.

Best of all, we’re looking for the film community to add their own ratings, comments, and samples showing your experience with various films.
