The bags are about the same size as the bags from Woodland Scenics. In the past, I had reached out to ARM and asked about buying a 5 gallon pail, and they were not interested.

Hopefully that has changed, as I will need to start buying their ballast in earnest soon.

Thanks to Russ but there is a problem ordering that ballast (NW #133).  After the website rejected my order (twice) I tried to find how to contact them via phone, email but I can't see any way to do that.  I'd really like to order material from this vendor but can't see anyway to clear up the problem with my CC.  I don't use paypal but the website seems to say that credit cards are OK.

Any help from ARM would also work, thanks.

Apologies for apparently generating a bunch of confusion (mostly on my part!) on list stuff.

My original question is what ballast to use on recommended NW mainline/yard/siding (mfg/color).  Is Woodland Scenic the way to go?  White in color with a few flecks of black?
