Old N&W sketch 1885

There may or may not be a book of sketches by a staff artist. Sketches were made and used in various publications by the N&W including the “Reference Book of the Norfolk & Western Railway Company,” circa 1890 and the  1890 Virginia Summer Resorts. Many of the 1890 sketches are included in Mason Cooper’s book, “Norfolk& Western’s Pocahontas Division.”

 

Both 1890 books are available from Google Books.
