All

This US Army Transportation Corps S160 class is one of 2,120 built between
1942 and 1946 by Alco, Baldwin, and Lima.  They were deployed all over
Europe during and after the war. 

This particular locomotive was built by Lima (ser #8784), USATC #5846, US
Army #606. 

When relettered for the N&W the loco retained its USA number.

At Crewe, we paused to record an image of the Museum's "N&W" no. 600. It did
seem an unusual looking machine and I have since learned a little bit of its
history (Ft. Eustis).
