I believe the trip was May 4th, 1957.  I was on it with our family.   
My dad shot some movies, and the N&W excursions were used in
a video we did in 2016 called "Eastern Steam Trips".  You can see a  
preview clip here, and there are a couple of seconds of
the 4-6-2's at that runby location.  578 and 563 were the engines.  On  
May 5th we got the regular Norton train leaving Bluefield, before
we departed on train 15 for Batavia, Ohio.
