Jim: Contrary to Chapman's article on a back issue of the Arrow, the ends were not just flat. The end of a PG as built is angled slightly on each side. When Roanoke modernized them, they just extended everything up at the same angle. (so you have three flat sections) On the first group, the rounded corners were kept. On the second group, the corners were squared off. Then they added the cinder deflectors, flush with the end extensions. So you really don't need a drawing to do the model. Just make three flat end pieces, cut off the tops to match the roof curve, cut the roof ends with the slight angles, and add the cinder deflectors.

All,
I am trying to locate a drawing for the end of a modernized PG coach, like the one shown here:
http://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=65722
There is also a photo of PG 1629 on page 76 of the N&W Handbook by Wallace and Wiley.
I've read through the list of drawings in the Archives but can't identify any that might work; I'd like to model a few of these cars as they appeared on Train Nos. 1 and 2 in the Shenandoah Valley.
Any help would be appreciated; thanks.
