Might he have been an ancestor of “Red” Henretta, a honcho in the Signal Dipartment in the early 1960s?  I met Red Henretta at Welch in 1962 when the signals were being converted to color-position lights . . .

HENRETTA,  FRANCIS  B., Trainmaster Norfolk & Western Ry in 1906. Office Crewe, Va.  Entered railroad service July 1882 as machinist apprentice Cincinnati Indianapolis St. Louis & Chicago RR, since which he has been consecutively 1886 to Feb. 1893, brakeman, fireman and engineer same road and its successor, the Cleveland Cincinnati Chicago & St. Louis RR; Feb. 1893 to Sept. 1895, foreman motive power department same road at Columbus, O.;  Sept. 1 to Dec. 1, 1895, general foreman Cincinnati New Orleans & Texas Pacific RR at Chattanooga, Tenn.; Dec. 1, 1895, to Feb. 1898, foreman motive power Cleveland Cincinnati Chicago & St. Louis RR at Linndale, O.;  Feb. 1898 to Feb. 1899, road foreman engines Radford division Norfolk, & Western Ry; Feb. 1899 to Feb. 1900, trainmaster Shenandoah division, and Feb. 1900 to date, trainmaster Norfolk division same road at Roanoke, and Crewe, Va.
