The china and silverware sale was a result of the beginning of Amtrak. With no N&W trains included, the dining car department was closed out and there was a sale of no longer needed items.

Hello, all:
A Seth Thomas #2 regulator recently sold on eBay with this partial description: "Serial Number stamped in case 'N&W RR 65.'" Were all N&W clocks so marked? Also, the attached photo includes a logo on the face. I am wondering how many N&W clocks had a logo on the dial.
The listing mentioned that the owner purchased the clock at a railroad sale. I recall the N&W selling its china and silverware during the early 1970s. Were there similar sales for other office artifacts such as clocks?
Have a nice Autumn,
